Steve Bequette spent most of his early childhood writing music on an old player piano and a vintage Silvertone electric. The Beatles, Pink Floyd and Sting were some of his early influences and laid the foundation for what would become a distinct songwriting style.
In the late 90ís Steve toured 36 countries for the USO with his band ëTen Stories Tallí and released his first CD, Inside Out. This tour was followed by a 6 month stay in London where street performance took center stage over club gigs. It wasnít long before he returned the St. Louis, and continued to perform throughout the region. During this time, Steve released his self titled acoustic CD.
His third independent release appropriately titled ëMaybe Wednesdayí, after the loose band rehearsal schedule is a culmination of 3 years of writing and recording. This project likens itself to John Mayer, Train, Oasis and sometimes Janeís Addiction. Recently Steve was played on WVRV 101.1 FM in St. Louis, MO and is currently working the Midwest college circuit.
You can find him playing all around St. Louis in clubs like Kenrodís, Houlihanís, the Atomic Cowboy and Felixís. His impressive song list includes hits from the 80ís, 90îs and current chart toppers.
