Pennsylvania Slim
The Pennsylvania Slim Blues Band is a trio who honors the classic period of blues from the 40ís, 50ís & 60ís. The rhythm section with the electric bass and drums provide the perfect complement to the multi-talented Pennsylvania Slim. Slim (Brian Melching) is the vocalist and plays lead guitar, harp, and slide guitar. His instruments are from the 1950ís and 60ís to capture and authenticate the classic blues period.
The Band has been performing for over 8 years. Some of the regular places in the St. Louis area are, The Ritz Carlton, Ameristar Casino, BBís Jazz, Blues & Soups and Great Grizzly Bear. Outside the St. Louis area, the Band plays The Slippery Noodle in Indianapolis, IN. The Alamo, Springfield, IL, Bayou Billís at The Lake of the Ozarks, Martini Bar, Columbia, MO, BoBoís, Mt Vernon, IL and several Illinois and Missouri Wineryís. Pennsylvania Slim has shared the stage with Blues greats such as James Harman and Junior Watson.
