Mystic Voyage has been providing St. Louis with high-energy performances since its' inception in June if 1982. The Band's repertoire, spanning the decades from the 1940's and beyond, cuts a wide groove through many styles of music such as Big Band, Reggae, Hip-hop, Blues, Traditional and contemporary Jazz, and of course, Motown and R&B!
The band consists of guitar, two keyboards, bass, drums, and saxophone with all of the members contributing on vocals along with a female vocalists. They have appeared at numerous civic and corporate sponsored events such as: the grand opening of The America's Center; the 1993 Mayor's Ball; several performances at the Taste of St. Louis and the Taste of The Central West End; Better Family Life's Annual Unity Ball; the St. Louis American Newspaper's annual "Salute to Excellence Awards Banquet"; the Hyatt Regency Hotel of Kansas City New Year's Eve Extravaganza; the St. Louis Crisis Nursery's second annual "Razzle-Dazzle Ball", and many, many others. They also have had the honor of providing the musical accompaniment for several theatrical productions for the St. Louis Black Repertory Company.
