The Michael Brooks Band was formed in 1994 as a variety dance band. By having regular members and our own sound and staging equipment, we are able to consistently provide high quality musical entertainment. Music that people enjoy dancing and listening to. Always professional in our appearance and also in sound level- to give that perfect atmosphere.
The band has an active repertoire of over 400 professionally arranged tunes and approximately 1500 more in our library. We actually read music and are adding new tunes all the time. We play jazz, swing, latin, rock, motown, disco and contemporary standards. You can see by our current playlist that we can provide a wide variety of styles to please any group. Should you contract us to play for you we will be happy to work with you on song selection. Our prices are competitive and flexible to accommodate your special requirements, without compromising the quality of entertainment. A typical four hour- package includes a full band for cocktails, dinner and a dance. We also provide a three- hour dance package, in which case we can arrange special music during cocktails and dinner. We can configure the bands to fit any occasion. Currently the Michael Brooks Band offers The Big Band (12 piece), The Route 66 Band (6-9 piece), Blue Lite Jazz Band (2-6 piece), The Front Line Strolling Dixie Band (4 piece) and The Brass Band (5-15 players).
