Los Flamencos present traditional Flamenco songs such as Bulerias, Soleares, Alegrias, Tangos and other traditional Flamenco songs. The tradition of Tablao Flamenco reveals the essence of Flamenco as an exquisite and spontaneous blend of dance and music in a casual and intimate setting. Los Flamencos perform regularly consisting of dancer Beth Haney and guitarist Lliam Christy. Since 1997, Los Flamencos have appeared in the St. Louis metropolitan area in over 500 performances.
Lliam earned his Bachelors and Masters of Music from Webster University. Besides being an accomplished Flamenco guitarist, Lliam is also an accomplished rock and jazz musician. A composer of many styles, Lliam has scored music for Flamenco, Modern dance, and film. Beth has over 15 years of professional performance and teaching experience. Beth studied Escuela Bolera and Flamenco with Daniel de Cordoba. She also studied Flamenco with Veronica Rivero, La Conja, Victorio, Jose Molina, Marianno Parra, Jaime Coronado, Sonia Salas, Carmen Romero, Macarena Hera de Jurado, Israel Pavon, Maria Benitez, and at the Academia de Manolo Marin in Seville. Beth was a company dancer with the St. Louis Cultural Flamenco Society from 1989-1999.
