Gateway Brass Quintet
The Gateway Brass Quintet is in its 29th year of performing in the St. Louis area. Founded in 1975, the quintet has compiled a diverse repertoire covering 500 years and plays a wide variety of musical styles ranging from the Renaissance, Baroque and Romantic periods to Sousa marches, jazz, Dixieland, rags, Broadway Show and favorite popular tunes.
The group is made up of talented freelance musicians who perform in and around St. Louis. Members of the quintet perform frequently with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, the St. Louis Opera Theatre, the Union Avenue Opera Theater, the Fox Theater Orchestra and the St. Louis Municipal Opera (MUNY) Orchestra as well as many other area musical organizations.
Best known for their educational and cultural concerts, the Gateway Brass Quintet is also available for wedding ceremonies and receptions, private parties, religious and corporate functions and park concerts.
