Dizzy Atmosphere
Dizzy Atmosphere is inspired by Joe Venuti & Eddie Lang, Django Reinhardt & Stephanie Grappelli, Stuff Smith, Eddie South, Claude ëfiddlerí Williams and all the champions of the swing era. Dizzy Atmosphere is the embodiment of insouciance, an elegant, lighthearted guitar and violin trio whose repertoire features the popular tunes of the 20ís, 30ís and 40ís. They are Jon Ferber, Mary Dee Brown and Christopher Voelker.
Jon Ferber has been one of St. Louisís most prominent proponents of swing, co-founding and performing with Swing Set, the Orbits and very recently as guitarist and musical director of the Erin Bode Trio. Mary Dee Brown, a member of the popular and versatile trio Hot Club Canary, has also performed and recorded with Jobim Dreams, the New Patrons and the New Moon Serenaders. Christopher Voelker has performed in St. Louis as a featured guest with Swing Set, Farshid Etniko, and with orchestras in Boston, San Antonio and St. Louis.
Dizzy Atmosphere has performed at the Missouri History Museum, the City Museum, Missouri Botanical Society, Brandtís, Elli Forcella, Dresselís Pub, Lagniappeís, Lynch Street Bistro, Mad Art, McDonnell Planetarium, Remyís, Riddles, Soulard Coffee Garden and numerous private engagements.
