With a spare, bluesy piano style and a voice that can range from swinging bebop to smooth ballads to gritty R&B, Dean Minderman is a musician who crosses genre borders to appeal to both casual listeners and true jazz fans. With more than 30 years in the music business, Dean is an experienced entertainer who can serve as a featured performer or provide background music for almost any occasion.
His repertoire for solo performances and shows with his trio includes jazz compositions from greats like Duke Ellington, Thelonious Monk and Horace Silver, American standards made famous by vocalists such as Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett and Nat "King" Cole, and songs from contemporary songwriters including Stevie Wonder, Bob Dylan, Boz Scaggs and Tom Waits.
